Footer

Provide the trust-and-utility layer for visitors doing diligence: legal, contact, the rest of the site.

It’s working when

  • +Legal entity, terms, privacy and contact are findable; their absence is a red flag readers notice
  • +On focused conversion pages: deliberately minimal, no exit-ramp sitemap
  • +Sized to the page it ends: a page built around one action closes with one line, not a sitemap

How this usually goes wrong

A five-column mega-footer on a page whose entire strategy was 'one action'. The footer silently reintroduces every exit the page spent its length removing.
